The World Economic Forum is seeking a new Director of the Tropical Forest Alliance 2020 to succeed Marco Albani in leading the TFA 2020 Secretariat in Geneva. After three years as the inaugural Director of the Tropical Forest Alliance 2020, and having secured funding for the platform for three more years, Marco Albani has decided to move on and pursue other opportunities for impact. Under Marco’s leadership, the TFA 2020 has established itself as the pre-eminent collaboration platform for eliminating deforestation from commodity supply chains. Since the Secretariat was set up at the World Economic Forum less than three years, the Alliance has built solid communities of practices both globally and regionally, developed a state-of-the-art communication and digital infrastructure, and grown to over 140 members, representing business, government, civil society, and indigenous peoples’ organisations. The new Director will continue providing leadership to the TFA 2020 in the sprint to 2020. If you are interested in applying for the position, please do so on the World Economic Forum’s careers website.
